Ladies and Gentlemen,
We finally have a final decision on the cost of the class and that will be $140.00.
Pens, penciles, note pads and binders will be provided.
The class will start on Staurday November 13 at 8:30 am and go to 4:30pm.
On Sunday November 14 it will start at 8:30 pm and go to about 4:00 pm. Might end a little sooner.
There will be a lunch break and on field instruction. So please bring equipment; shotgun, eye and ear protection, and ammo.
There is a WalMart and two sporting good stores in town.
I am hoping for more volunteers/coaches to attend the class, as I feel we can make great stides in 2011 within the youth clay target sports here in Washington.
If you know of any current instructors for any youth organization, FFA, 4-H, Scouts, please give them the information or have them contact me at 831-229-4872 or 509-684-6349.
If you need more infromation about the course visit: http://www.nrahq.org/education/training/coaching/index.asp.
As you can see this is not a quick dog and pony course. It is intended for those who would like to further their coaching skills.
The motels in town are the Colville Inn 509-684-2517. I am waiting for the manager to get back from his hunting trip to see if we can get a better rate. Their standard rates are;
Queen – $57.00 plus tax
Queen with refer and microwave $66.00 plus tax
King with refer and microwave $$68.00 plus tax.
There is a Comfort in, 509-684-6686 but they want $99.00 plus tax for the same rooms.
If you have any question please give me a call and I will help in any way I can.
Mike

$175,000 Available to College Shooting Clubs and Teams
Submit your grant proposal today!
Attention Coaches and Shooters:
The time has come to submit your grant proposal for this year’s Collegiate Shooting Sports Challenge Grant Program.
A total of $175,000 will be available to qualified colleges and universities to implement or support their shooting clubs or teams. Of this amount, each selected grant applicant is eligible to receive up to a maximum of $7,500 in grant funding from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
Last year, NSSF awarded more than $100,000 to colleges to promote recreational shooting on and around campuses across the country. Grants were issued to 15 colleges and universities, from prominent Harvard to smaller schools like Fort Hays State University in Kansas, with awards ranging from $4,000 to $7,500 per school. Some colleges used their grants as seed funding to launch new shooting clubs and teams; other schools will use their funds to expand existing programs and publicize them on campus by developing websites and hosting “fun shoots.”
Colleges that were awarded grants last year, as well as those that were not, are eligible and encouraged to submit or re-submit grant proposals for this season’s program.
Click here for more details on the grant guidelines.

The deadline to submit grant proposals is Sept. 17. If anyone has trouble meeting this deadline, contact NSSF’s Zach Snow at zsnow@nssf.org or 203-426-1320 (ext. 224) to request an extension.
